Activities & Hobbies
Sports
Getting outside and moving my body is always the highlight of my day. Once an avid soccer player and a former collegiate sailor, I have recently found a new passion in endurance sports. I enjoy running and swimming, but most often you can find me out road cycling. I love pushing my limits and am a bit obsessed with the satisfaction that comes at the end of a hard workout. Check out some of my proudest accomplishments and coolest rides:
Volunteering
I believe that you only recieve in this world as much as you give. Spending time contributing to the common good has always been important to me. In particular, I find it incredibly meaningful and rewarding spending time connecting with individuals with developmental disabilities. Formerly, I spent time teaching sailing to young kids with cognitivie differences. Now, I run a volunteering club at my university where we visit with local highschoolers with disabilities and help form meaningful and lasting friendships. These visits are often the highlight of my week, and I love connecting with these truly kind individuals!
Travel
I love traveling because it gives me a new perspective on the vastness and diversity of the world. Experiencing new cultures, exploring different regions, and connecting with strangers are the reasons I travel. I never want to stop exploring, and I am always looking for a new adventure. Check out some of the countries I have visited! Japan, New Zealand, and China are at the top my bucket list.
Cooking
One of my favorite hobbies is cooking. There are few things in the world as satisfying as a good meal. I love serving my friends and family delicious dishes and enjoy the challenge of organizing, planning, and executing a new recipe! I will never say no to trying something new, but my favorite cuisines are Mediterranean and Japanese.
